Welcome to my page

Welcome to my site which is my sounding board and blog for sharing ideas and experiences. I believe it is the people out there who really make a difference and a pool of ideas and healthy discussion or brainstorming session engenders more progress than we give credit for.

I love to communicate and this medium is marvellous. Please post, comment, disagree, debate or add anything you like. Our Woolgathering thoughts and ideas are important. Who knows where it will all end or what we may achieve.

Welcome everyone and enjoy blogging.

Meeting people

Well, here's the deal. I am a widow and don't go out to pubs and clubs on my own. At my age it is just not done. However, I have met some interesting people recently and one in particular who has so far proved to be kind and thoughtful, though we are yet to get to know each other better. For both of our sakes it is prudent to take some time in this as at our time of life it would be a dreadful blow to make a mistake, as we are perhaps more fragile than you young folks. No - we are not desperados but much more canny and considerate of others' feelings, which can sometimes come across as stuffy.

Young people who have many more years ahead of them can afford to take more chances but at our age things must be right. If one is planning to spend the most precious years with another then the relationship must be extra special as we are more aware of our mortality. We deserve kindness and consideration and must give this out too, as we have spent our lives devoting ourselves to family and career. In our golden years life has the potential to be wonderfully uplifting if only we can find someone who desires the same and knows the meaning of real love. It is not just passion and gratification but goes much deeper than that. A common sense of humour is vital for longevity and quality of life whilst it garnishes with joy many things which we take for granted.

That's all for now folks. Peace out!
